The first thing to do is to pop down to the renovated Albert Docks. Renovated back in the 1980s, the Docks are used as a variety of restaurants and shops. There is the Tate gallery to visit, for free, along with the Maritime Museum and a few other good museums. The highly popular Liverpool museum is also relocating there shortly and there is the museum of Liverpool Life.
